Very thick-set, slowly collapsing, just off-white head over hazy golden beer. Candi sugar, as well as all kinds of vegetable aroma’s, and citrus; touch of sournes in the nose (pickles?). Sweet, with a spicy, very yeasty imprint, and a faint impression of acidity, and I mean acetic. Again like preserved vegetables, and even a meaty ester. Very slick, grist slickness, medium bodied. Seems not fermented out, somehow. Badly kept, stocked, transported? Poor, anyhow.

(25 cl bottle at Cafe ’t Kelderke, Geel) On March 21, 2008. 2005 vintage. BB 10 - 2008. Clear dark reddish brown color, tan to light brown head. Swet, spicy and slightly acidic scent, a bit lactic. Sweet, tid-bits, fruity, yeasty, lactic, almonds, sugar taste. Some chocolate as well. Smooth mouthfeel, low bitterness.

25 cL bottle, thanks to MiP. Pours clear and yellow with a white head. Light hoppy/soapy and citrus aroma. Has a flavour dominated by the same citrusy hops flavour. Subdued sweetness and a light fruity note. Goes into a mild finish. Nice and easy.

As Cuvee Carlsen on Carlsens Kvarter in Odense, Denmark. Hazy straw loloured beer with a lasting white head. Grain malt aroma, some wheat and some tropical fruit yeast notes. Very dry with some yeast flavours and pepper in the finish.

Bottle at ZBF08. Slightly sour aroma. Clear nice dark brown colour. Nice stable creamy light brown head. Yoghurt acidity. A little malt. Dry finish after the sweetness, a bit aspartamish. Decent. 6 3 5 3 11
Bottle, 6%. BB2008, re-tasted in 2013. Sweet sugary aroma, dried fruit, raisin, plum, prune. Clear dark brown colour. Very small tan head. The flavour is citric, but not much. More dried fruit and a bit of paper and a vinous touch in the finish. Does not seem to have changed much over the past five years. Thin mouthfeel, even watery.
