Pours black, no carbonation. Scent is chocolate, mild maple. chocolate sauce comes to mind. Taste is full, sweet, loads of honey. Spicyness rises up to quite high, but not to much. Maple very recognizable. Impy stout barrel gives an oily , thick body, and some roastyness. Quite lovely. Expectations were high - and expectations were met.

Bottle, thanks for sharing. Pours a clear deep amber with a brown hue and an off white head that dissipates quickly nearly completely. Aroma has a combination of chocolate and honey with a bit of hazelnut underlying. Flavor has a combination of honey and hazelnut with some chocolate coming through.

12oz can as part of a delivery from RAD Beer and drunk at home. Lightest gold, straw really. Clear, basically no head. Light notes of fresh honey, some stone fruit. A little vegetal which knocks it down a bit. Gorgeous sweet taste, honey comes first, then the light peach notes. Medium body, very little carbonation. Simple but moreish.

355ml can from RAD Beer as part of a delivery and drunk at home. Very light golden, clear. The honey from the mead is most prominent, followed by the light scent of fresh underripe mango. Subtle but moreish. Sweet taste, more honey, more mango. Light notes of vanilla and stone fruits. Gentle body, not quite watery, light carbonation. It isn't overwhelming but it is pretty damn good for a session mead.
