Description
Since 1870 our family, the Meens family, has been brewing its Alfa beers in the traditional way. Alfa Bier's brewing process is still the traditional brewing process. The recipe, the method of brewing and the raw materials have consciously never changed, because we do not compromise on the quality of our beer. Alfa is the only brewery in the Netherlands to have 100% pure spring water from an officially recognized source. That water from our own source determines the special, pure and full taste of our Alfa Beers.

Rating for the bottled Alfa, wouldn’t touch the canned one.
Clear golden colour, white head. Aroma of malts, bread, straw, light floral hops. Flavour quite sweet, malty, light bitter. Finish light bitter.
Nothing really special, though one of the better Dutch session beers in my opinion. Not high in hop, but tastful and elegant. A good choice for a night out with friends (if you happen to live in The Netherlands).

Bottled. A dark golden beer with a huge orangey head. The aroma is sweet with strong notes of malt and alcohol. The flavor is sweet with strong notes of malt as well as brewing sirup, making the body thick. Totally lacking bitterness.

Canned(500ml). -Dark golden coloured, medium sized white head that went away slowly, glue and alcohol in the nose. Sweet malty, sugary and strong alcoholic taste with notes of caramel and low hops presence. Don’t bother with this one, but if you really have to (or want to) Alfa is still better than Bavaria 8.6 or Atlas Super Strong.
