Description
Since 1870 our family, the Meens family, has been brewing its Alfa beers in the traditional way. Alfa Bier's brewing process is still the traditional brewing process. The recipe, the method of brewing and the raw materials have consciously never changed, because we do not compromise on the quality of our beer. Alfa is the only brewery in the Netherlands to have 100% pure spring water from an officially recognized source. That water from our own source determines the special, pure and full taste of our Alfa Beers.

(Can 50 cl) Courtesy of MiP. Clear, fully golden with a basically absent head. Aroma of malt and alcohol. Medium body with sweetish malt and alcohol in the nose. Medium body, sweetish malt, brewing cereal and sulphur. Brutal and bitter finish. But actually surprisingly drinkable for a Malt Liquor. 230807

Dark blond colour. Thin lacy head. Aroma has a hint of green apple. A fresh tasting beer at first with a light hop sharpness. It becomes sweet and warming in the finish. Quite a cidery feel to this one.

Very clear, golden colour, small white head. The absence of dominant bitterness makes this an outstanding Dutch Pilsener.

Bottle" Poured a pale straw color with white carbonated bubbles head. The aroma was malty with hint of hops. Flavor is sweet and grainy but finished dry with little hops.

Extrem langweiliges Bier. Test vom 8.5.2007, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 8,5,6,5,10,5 - 5,70

Very pale looking pilsener. Metallic aroma and a little malt coming through. Quite a clean taste but is on the sweet side. Would benefit from alittle more hop bitterness. Easy drinking session beer though.

Bottle, 7.5%. Citric, vinous aroma, not too pleasant. Dark golden colour, very small white head. Alcoholic flavour and peppery finish. Also quite sweet. Typical European Strong Lager.

(Bottle 30 cl) Clear, amber golden with an off-white head. Lightly sweet, malty aroma. Good, full body with loads of sweet malt. Fresh and fruity with some alcohol in the finish. A clean and solid Bock. Courtesy of jbrus. 040307
