Description
We are a brewery and taproom located in downtown Cambridge. Our focus is on aroma-packed and flavor-driven beers, with an emphasis on New England IPAs, barrel-aged sours, and special seasonals. We brew a variety of one-off batches that allow us to pursue our various whims, and we donβt shy away from funk, twists on tradition, and unique ingredients.

Strong pineapple is a bit domineering even if it smells pretty authentic. Can't really get at any hop. Typical white bread-like malt. Clean, no alcohol noted.
Tons of pineapple in flavor too. It's as if they've subbed pineapple for the hops. I don't taste any hop. Maybe they DID sub pineapple for hops...bitterness is very low, too. Bit sweet, not horribly so. But the bigger problem is that it's just pineapple and white bread here.

Unless that's a lot of molasses character and salted toffee, that smells like a lot of diacetyl. Yeah, really just getting diacetyl here, not even much roast.
Huh. Now it tastes like a creamy latte. I guess that's actually just toffee, molasses and buttercream from the malts/water. Wow. Hell, even if it is diacetyl, it's God damned delicious. This is much more flavorful and complex than most dry stouts. Bigger body and texture than usual, too, but still properly attenuated. Whatever that butter toffee molasses character is, it's incredible.

Good yeast character with a touch of damp cellar and bright hops adding fresh herbs. Delicate honey-like malt completes the picture. Clean and aromatic.
Appley yeast and rich malt with lots of sweet honey. Some biscuit and a touch of sourdough on the finish. Bright, herbal hops throughout, gently bitter. Apple carrying though to the finish. Just a bit too sweet, but otherwise well-done.

Herbal, tea-like nose with wood and lots of sweet malt. Hint of stone fruit.
Very malty, with mixed herbs and light tea, but none of the accompanying dryness/bitterness that it needs. Gets too sweet and the lack of bitterness exacerbates this.

Oktoberfest in July. Let's go! Very malty, bready, with a strong graininess and moderate caramel. Candy character hopefully from the malt and not yeast. Very low hop (none that I can find).
Interesting. Toasted brown bread with caramel and an almost coffee character but doesn't quite get there. Hop bitterness and burnt caramel on the finish. Cherries and candied oranges. Big malts but it dries out just enough on the end, or very nearly. Very malty, deep texture. Weird take, but intriguing.

Lightly lactic, with low pineapple. Nothing twangy or sweet or artificial. Very low acidity for a gose. Lots of wheat, though, that's for sure. Comes out more wheat beer in the nose.
More pineapple in the mouth. Tangy and acidic and then quickly drying. Not as softly wheaty in mouth. Maybe a touch excess acid. Needs salinity to soften the edges and dull the acid. Tastes more like a plain old kettle sour.

Lightly woody, herbal, with soft honey and white bread in support. Smells fairly bright, clean, but very WC-like, given the drier, leaner hops. But no actual pine and definitely no resin. Dank, I suppose, you could say.
Soft and juicy with easygoing herbs. Like juicy lemon balm but no real bitterness. Thankfully malts are chewy and supportive but show no sugar. Fresh herbs, mild lemon oil and chewy, wheaty textures. Almost like a gently hoppy wheat ale. Very refreshing and drinkable, whatever the case.

Undated can (~6/1/26) drunk 7/26/26.
Soft stone fruit and mild citrus from hop with lots of easygoing, fruity esters from the yeast. Malts seem ample but not too sweet, with light white bread, cracker/biscuit gently balancing. Doesn't quite explode out of the glass, as intended, but it is approaching 2 months old, so I'll give it some leeway.
Very zesty (spicy herb and kumquat) and richly citrusy (tangerine, lemon rind oil) with a fluffy, supple, but well-attenuated, medium body. Honey and white bread keep things soft and gently sweet as waves of varied citrus, kumquat and apricot wash across the palate. The sweetness seems to build as the beer warms and breathes, and the bitterness is dangerously low. The zesty spiciness up front keeps it balanced initially, but the palate seems to bog down slightly as the glass wears on, especially on the finish.

2nd from right.
Fruity with dry white grape and a touch of melon. Mild citrus juiciness with white bread-like malt and high attenuation leaving a fair bit of cracker on the end.
Very fruity with a soft texture to start, though drying out heavily from the kveik's high attenuation, leaving dry cracker, citrus, melon and other various fruit notes on the finish. Well-constructed and very drinkable, with low but ample bitterness.

Far right.
Healthy acidity in the nose showing a vibrant mix of malic and lactic. Significantly more raspberry than cherry. Malts not prominent in the nose, but something is definitely balancing the acidity pretty well. Light oak/red wine adding complexity. Polished, clean stuff, per Lamp's barrel program.
Oh wow, that's a lot maltier than the nose lets on, though given the wonderful balance their barreled sours have exhibited these days, I shouldn't be surprised. Rich honey, caramel and date with excellent lactic acidity and a pinch of acetic, to-style. Balanced, with a supple, oily and malty texture. Fruit well-integrated and authentic.
If only I weren't in so many damned clubs that I already struggle to keep up with, I'd certainly join the Luminary Society for more excellent barreled sours like this.
