330ml bottle from Dranken Geers. Pours deep reddish brown, small tan head. Aroma is strong Flemish red acetic vinegar. Taste is strong, sweet acetic, distant umami, tangy cherry notes, light carbonation. Excellent Flemish red.

330ml bottle from Dranken Geers. Pours clear amber, medium off-white foam atop. Aroma bears yeasty caramel hints, some light vanilla perhaps. Wouldn't necessarily peg it in the tripel category on taste. Deeper caramel malt flavours surfacing that a tripel would tend to avoid, though a familiar distant yeasty sweetness remains. Light biere de garde spice, lightly caramelised malt, light bodied with medium to high carbonation. Just doesn't seem to offer anything new or compelling in the current climate.

7 3 7 3 15Bottle at Kim Jong Un Buurtcentrum, Zaandam, mostly used for cooking. Brown with a tan head. Aroma of malt, candy, yeast, caramel and overripe dark fruits. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet and moderate bitter. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.

Bottle: Poured a burgundy with pink head. Aroma is musty funky cork, oak and cherry. Taste is sour tart cherry a light oak.

Bière sans grand intérêt, cette klak pas très royale a au moins l'avantage d'être globalement équilibrée. Côté arômes par contre, il ne faut pas s'attendre à une grande prestation, très simple autour du caramel et des épices. En verre, l'ambré limpide est sympathique et surmonté d'une mousse blanc cassé nappant la surface. Le nez est sur le caramel, les épices avec une petite pointe de bernache. Ce petit complément d'âme disparaît à la dégustation avec une attaque timide, sur le caramel et les épices. Pas réellement intéressante. La deuxième bouche ne l'est pas plus, montant légèrement d'intensité et avec une présence épicée légèrement plus marquée. L'arrière bouche, peu ample est quant à elle sur une amertume légèrement herbacée accompagnée d'une pointe d'épices. La troisième bouche est réellement insipide avant que le final redresse légèrement la barre, sur une longueur acceptable et une fraîche amertume. L’alcool à 7,8 % est quant à lui un peu faiblard et aurait gagné à se faire davantage ressentir. Il manque une âme à cette bière.

Pretty cloudy pale blond to light yellow beer, small creamy white head, pretty stable, bit adhesive. Aroma: very malty, wort, grains, cow fodder, no wheat aroma? MF: lively carbon, medium to light body. Taste: pretty fruity start, yeast, banana, bit sweet, soft bitterness, malty, overripe banana. Aftertaste: pretty yeasty, bitter touch, little chemical, some paint thinner, banana peel. At least it's not metallic as in a lot of the Strubbe beers...

Light brown tight bubbly head stayed on an opaque, amber coloured body with fine carbonation. Malt, brown sugar & caramel aroma. Medium bodied, smooth on the palate with a sharp effervescent back. Burnt sugar, malt, caramel, yeast & biscuit tastes with a hoppy citrus finish.
