About
Driven by adventure, experience and quality. You can find this in our beers. We make beers to give a new dimension to the world’s beer culture, all from our beautiful Zeeland. A ‘Dutch Bargain’ is an agreement made while drinking, where one of the parties concerned takes an adventage over the other. Every time you get a hold of one of our beers, we lose one. So with a Dutch Bargain in your hand, you always win.

18/I/26 - 33cl can from Geers (Oostakker), shared @ home, BB: 18/3/27 (2026-56)

Clear dark brown to black beer, small aery bit irregular beige, unstable, dissipates quickly, non adhesive. Aroma: oxidized, roast, lots of liquorice, roast, cough syrup, some dried fruits, overripe banana. MF: soft to no carbon, medium body. Taste: a bit sourish, lots of alcohol, very sugary, some chocolate, tamarind, some cinnamon, spicy, hot. Aftertaste: a bit sugary, quite some alcohol, a bit acidic still, some chocolate, and I guess it’s carob? A little weird, a bit too much alcohol burn, some cough syrup, cinnamon.

Can from Beer Republic.
A: clear golden, small, white head.
A: lots of bell pepper, chili pepper, shallot, apple peel.
T: sweetish pineapple, yellow bell pepper, bitter chili & herbs.
F: peppery hops, chili burn.
P: medium body, watery texture, average carbonation.
Chili is just a bit too intense to really let the style speak for itself, but I appreciate the idea here.

Just a tad too sticky, perhaps a bit more body could have helped out here.

Can, Day 5 of my Mr Hop beer advent calendar from their webshop, Venray, Netherlands, I'm clearly a few days behind with this one. Consumed this Friday 12th December 2025, cooking Thomasina Miers Picadillo (Mexican Chile) however this is for other meals, we we're actually having Dishoom Masala Prawns and another curry of Masala Chicken with Pulau Rice and Poppadoms and Raita, however after the poppadoms, pickle tray, raita etc we were full 🤣. 🎧 to Afrodeutscha on 6Music. Pours pitch black with a light tan head that soon departs into the inky depths. Light coffee, vanilla and roasted malts dominate the aroma. These three also come through in the mouth, which is creamy and thick, however their presence here is a little more subtle. It's a touch sweet and a little bit boozy at times, but it's certainly not in yer' face and is pretty decent. Score 7.1
