Description
Stack Brewing was launched right here in Sudbury in June of 2013. The idea came about by Shawn Mailloux, a fan of good beer, born and raised right here in the Nickel City. After years of drinking beers that were not quite right for him and his friends, he decided to brew a beer that would appeal to casual and seasoned beer drinkers alike.

On tap at the Hardrock 42 in Sudbury. Slightly hazy yellow pour, with a very small white head. Aroma is typical of a wit, lots of lemon, and Corrigan derived notes with some solid malted wheat. Mouth feel is thin, a little watery with a soft carb. Finish is lightly bitter with a subtle wheat sweetness and alot more coriander.

Bottle from the brewery. Dark brown pour with a medium off white head. Aroma is funky and tart with a strong vinous cherry note. Malts are very earthy, with hints of brown sugar and cherries. Body is thin, carb is very soft. Finish is tart, no funk, cherries, earthy, semi sweet, with a subtle buttery notes and light bitterness. This style does not lend itself to wine barrel aging. Cask at the 2017 Northern Ontario microbrew festival. Jet black, big pillowy brown head. Dark, charred, burnt roasty Aroma. Loads of coffee, with hints of light tartness, and hints of subtle sweetness from the vanilla. The vanilla and cranberry and super subtle, and hard to find, they are there, but I think could be a touch stronger. The base beer is still great, big, rich, roasty, coffee, hints of soy. I enjoyed it.

Very dark brown pour with a small beige head. Very dry, malt forward nose. Some light metal and soft dark fruit. Hints of molasses and dark brown sugar. Lively carb, and a solid mouth feel. Finish is lightly bitter with alot of bready, sweet malts. Alcohol is well hidden and some age should curb the sharp cereals in the aroma.
