With a bit of force you get plenty of head out of this, a decent density, on top of a boring gold body. Aroma is grains with a soft hint of maple syrup; uh oh, I see it already, they’re cheaping out on the syrup! It shows up much, much better in the flavour, however - it’s an excellent blend between lager grain notes and maple syrup. It’s certainly better on the maple beer scale, and rather balanced in my opinion. Worth a try.

I love these guys, you can tell right away from their labels that they’re extremely local, which means they’re either awesome or they suck and are just ducking the government by brewing some moonshine and selling it from the back of their pickup on the highway when the cops aren’t out there with their speed cameras. Pours with a soft gold body and a small little head on top. Aroma of cranberry muffins and caramel, quite sweet for a wheat beer. Flavour is malt and cherries, quite refreshing in fact, but the palate is quite weak. Sadly, in spite of my expectations, this one’s about average.

Thanks to Drisse for this one brought back from Quebec City. This bottle has been in my fridge for a while, so might be bad... but also, might improve it (as I read other reviews). Pours a hazy light golden-amber colour with a bubbly white head that has good retention and sticky lacing. A nice little coat tops the brew. A strong grain smell comes out of it with hints of pears and honey. Thicker mouthfeel, but watery finish. Same items in the taste as the aromas. Refreshing overall and interesting. More of a micro fruit beer (which is a good thing). Oh, and no burns (for a 8%... feels like a 4%).

Apparently brewed especially for the town of Danville, Québec, celebrating its 150th anniversary. Well, congratulations anyways. Pours bright yellow with a decent pillow of very white head - this is a bright one. Aroma of hops mostly, slight paper smell also. Taste is fruity lager notes with a cloying wheat finish. A bit awkward, neither here nor there, but drinkable.

Has a ruby-amber body with a decent antique white head. Aroma is of fruits and barley. Taste is barley with an apple finish. Sweet mouthfeel. It’s better than I expected.

Like what pot-pourri would taste like. I've never eaten a rose but i imagine it would taste like this. Very aromatic

An amber IPA with a thin light moka head. In aroma, light hops, mashed grains. In mouth, a light herbaceous IPA with grassy malt and faint English hops. Boring. On tap at Octoberfest des Quebecois, Sept. 12 2010

Bottle: Poured a dirty beige color ale with a medium foamy head with medium retention and no lacing. Aroma of candi sugar with sweet ester is not that great but still enticing. Taste is a bit too much dominated by candi sugar with some interesting ester and not much presence form yeast. Body is about average with good carbonation and no apparent alcohol. Not as bad as some of their other beers but too sweet for style with a lack of yeast profile .

Bottle: Poured a clear amber color ale with a medium size foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of sweet malt base with unrefined grain is more or less pleasant. Taste is also dominating dry unrefined grain notes with some lingering sweetness. Body is slightly below average with OK carbonation. Nothing here is really likely to make me want to buy this again.

Bouteille 341ml.
