Can, thanks to Toastedpuppy. Clear dark orange with off-white foamy large head, malt and faint coffee beans aroma, medium carbonation, slightly sweet creamy taste, with coffee flavor and alcohol undertones, creamy body, medium malty finish. Coffee flavor was not too pronounced, strong alcohol content was not masked too well.

Canned 1/14/16 and drunk 2/5/16.
Thanks Bobby and James for sharing! Been hearin’ a lot about Carton lately so it was good to finally try it.
Clear, dark beige-golden body has a thin, rapidly recedeing light beige head.
Smells like dunkin donuts coffee with cream and sugar in it and then also a bunch of booze. Which I guess is what it’s supposed to smell like?
Vapid, rather loose carbonation and a watery feel to the beer overall are the first things I notice. Also a bunch of sweet cream-caramel and alcohol. Oh and the coffee is just sort of there, but not particularly interesting or done with much finesse (though to be fair it’s also not overdone). Sweet, borderline cloying, pretty poor texture-wise and WTF is up with the abv??? Gratuitous much?? Probably not going to be drinking too much more Carton.....

16 oz can. Lemon and grain aroma. Pale malts. Some herbal and floral notes as well, which come out more as it sits in the glass for a few minutes. Pours a mostly clear pale yellowish color with a lasting sheet of white head and fairly heavy lacework. Clean lager flavor with a solid hop presence. Easy drinking. Gets a little dry on the finish. Nicely done.

12 ounce can. Amber orange color topped by a small frothy beige head. Sweet toasted malted aroma with coffee notes. Flavor is more sweet malt with caramel, coffee and vanilla notes. First sip really tastes like a regular coffee with cream and sugar. Some resiny hop notes, but the big alcohol warmth comes in to take control. Coffee flavor and vanilla stay with this brew all the way through. Quite different, but worth seeking out.

Was enticed by the can and hadn’t had a carton in awhile. Pale yellow pour electric white head. Nose is grainy and light floral. Tastes of grains, hint of hops florals, touch melon and dough. Light bodied. It’s a pale lager true and true but a decent one.

Shared at the 10th Annual Epic & Unusual Beer Tasting, 11/29/15. Hazy pale yellow, thin fizzy offwhite head, good retention. Aroma of toasted bread, citrus, tropical fruits. The taste is toasted and pale malt, dry citrus. Medium bodied, mild lingering bitterness.

Draft at Fool's Gold, 12/5/15. Pours basically black with a thin ring of head and light, spotty lace. Aroma has a lot of longer with lighter roasty. Roast is much strong in the flavor. Gets almost burnt on the close. Fairly full bodied. Really nice take on making something somewhat like a Black IPA, but also not really a Black IPA. Another hit from Carton.
