Cask at GBBF 2015, day 1 - London. Pours clear, deep brown with a frothy tan head. The nose holds roasted malts, cocoa and coffee. Medium sweet flavor with notes of oily coffee, burnt wood, bitter earth. Medium bodied with fine carbonation and oily texture. Lightly drying in the finish with burnt wood and baking cocoa. Nice beer overall.

750 ml purchased at Redstone Liquors, Stomeham, MA. Amber in color with thin head. Aroma is a ton of spice, herbs and off burnt caramel.
The flavor has harsh herbal astringent finish. To much herbs and spice, dear Lord that is harsh. Not sure what the hell the brewer was going for here. For their sake I hope they don’t brew this ever again. Not easy to drink, I choked down about 5 oz and poured out the rest.

At GBBF. American stout with thin, loose, beige head and near black colour. Pleasant aroma of coffee grounds, caramel, toffee, bayleaf, dried fruit, pipe tobacco. Smooth, dry taste, dried prunes, bit ashy, powdery mouthfeel, strong coffeeish roasted bitterness in the finish with a light caramel sweetishness, long piney, peppery and citrussy hop bitter finish.

Thanks Chris. Looks dark orange and reddish brown. Aroma is piney with some strange grape and wood. So many weird spices in this beer. Oak, cedar, weirdness. Leaves a lot of spice left over.

On tap at Yardhouse SLP. Pours a hazy pale yellow with a head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma is full of flora and light fruit with sweet wheat backing and a hint of bitter citrus. Flavor is similar with flora, light fruits and sweet wheat throughout and a hint of tart citrus in the finish.
