Served on draft at the brewpub. Pours a clear golden color with a medium sized creamy tan head. Decent head retention. Aroma of popcorn, nutty notes and herbal hops. The taste is corn, pale malts, herbal notes and a faint bit of band-aid. Medium bodied.

From a growler, courtesy of arminjewell. Thanks a bunch! Straw, grassy, somewhat sour acidic, lemon, light corn aroma with an off note that sort of reminds me of butyric acid. Sort of buttery. Well carbonated. Refreshing, tangy lemon, corn, grassy, straw flavor with a tangy, mildly sour finish. Ok. Big thanks to Armin for sharing.

On tap. Pours with a black body with a lasting tan head. Aromas are roasty, a bit smokey, bourbon, vanilla. A bit of a vegital note that I sometimes associate with stale/old coffee. Flavors are spicy, roasty, vanilla, ash tray, and cocoa powder. Light carbonation.

On tap at BCTC 2010. Pours a cloudy, light brown with a fine, white head. Mostly malt aroma with caramel, toffee, honey and dark sugar. Flavor is sweet with characteristics similar to the aroma. Has some light bitterness towards the end. Medium bodied with smooth carbonation and lightly warming. Finishes with some nice, lingering sweetness. Very good beer overall.

Location: Sampled at the NY Brewfest on Governor's Island, 6/19/10
Aroma: Tons of spice in the nose (rosemary - shockingly enough), some yeast too
Appearance: This beer pours a golden color with a white head atop it
Flavor: The taste is somewhat sweet, some spice, yeast, and a touch of earthy hops
Palate: It has a pretty nice mouthfeel to it, medium bodied, a really solid palate on this one
Overall Impression: Overall, I thought this was a pretty good brew. Another good one from this brewery, it was one of the breweries that impressed me the most at this beer festival.
