We brew both classic and contemporary style beers in a modern brewery, and our beers are available in cask, keg and bottle in pubs, bars, restaurants and other venues across the North West.
We have a custom built modern brewery, and have combined this with a traditional local yeast (revived after 50 years retirement), the finest ingredients and years of experience creating internationally renowned beers, to brew what we believe to be Cheshire’s finest beers.
Our brewery has been specifically designed to enable us to brew consistently good beer, we believe each and every pint we sell needs to be as good as the last one. We like to think this is what sets up apart from other small brewers, and hope that you will appreciate our efforts.

Cask @ Molly House, Manchester. Very dark clear amber with a small creamy head. Dark-malty with a prominent marshmallow sugary sweetness - makes this brew quite interesting.

Cask at Crewe Dog, Crewe. Pours a dark reddish-brown with a small cream head and good lacing. There’s a strong spicy aroma of ginger and cloves. In the mouth it is slightly bitter and smooth with a creamy textuxe. Spices are again prominent alongside roasted malts and ginger with traces of nutmeg and cinnamon. Spiciness last into the finish. This is a decent winter warmer type beer.

Hand-pulled half-pint from Crewe Dog on Saturday 18th November 2023. First beer of the day and before the Latvian Day tasting with Martin. Old gold in colour, white head that hung around. Malty front and semi-sweet throughout, minimal hop action; liked it.

Cask at Crewe Dog, Crewe. Pours a slightly hazy deep gold with a small white head and good lacing. There’s fresh hops and pine in the aroma. In the mouth its very briefly sweet at the start before bitterness of hops kicks in. Oranges also in the flavour and later some generic citrus and underlying traces of biscuits, leading to a dry finish. This is reasonable, but pretty forgettable too.

Cask at Crewe Dog, Crewe. Pours golden brown with s small off-white head and good lacing. There’s malts and nuts in the aroma. In the mouth it is sweet but with some underlying bitterness. Flavour has nuts, golden syrup and marmalade plus some hints of chocolate and ginger. Finih is dry and slightly bitter. Not a world beater, but reasonable enough.

Cask at Crewe Dog, Crewe. Pours “bitter brown” with a small off-white head and good lacing. The aroma has a creamy edge to it, with lactose, nougat and malts. In the mouth, the uppermost flavour is marshmallows, but there is an underlying bitterness to which it is somewhat at odds. There’s malts, nuts, parkin, biscuits raisins and a hint of liquorice. Finish is somewhat sticky. Bit of a mess really.

Cask at Crewe Dog, Crewe. There’s some malts in the aroma – but not much else. Pours an almost murky golden brown with minimal off-white head and excellent lacing. In the mouth there’s a mix of orange peel, grains and werthers original sweets, plus some traces of indistinct hops. Later on there are hints of ginger and spices too. Finish is bitter sweet. This is OK, but a nothing beer really.
