Description
At Plan Bee Farm Brewery our mission is to brew 100% New York State ingredient beer. We source all our ingredients from the state of New York with many grown on site. Our beers go from ground to glass within measurable feet of their origins. Our goal is to work with local businesses to produce a delicious product for the community we serve.

At Plan Bee Farm Brewery, our beers are created by the limitation of local resources. From the yeast we cultivate from our honey comb, to the grain and hops in our fields, if it isn’t in our community it doesn’t enter our beer.

Today, brewers talk about ‘local’ craft beer while sourcing ingredients from around the world. At Plan Bee Farm Brewery, we define ‘local’ as that which grows in New York State, if not on our farm. Over the course of the next few years we will work tirelessly to reduce the radius of our sourced ingredients. The goal is to be able to say, “I planted & processed everything in this beer personally.”

375mL bottle, pours a hazy blonde with a small white head. Aroma smells like a barn, with lots of funky wild yeast, hay, and oak. Flavour is very complex, with lots of barnyard funk, wild yeast, hay, and plenty of oak. Lightly tart, with lots of barnyard funk and hay. Well-integrated and oaky on the finish. Excelllent.

Hazy and quite pale. Not much head. Floral, lightly bretty, with a nice barrel accent. Sweetish, maybe it's the power of suggestion but seems honeyish. Nice tartness, maybe a little sharp on the acidity. Just a touch yeasty and woody. Overall, this is a pretty decent beer.

12.7 oz beeswax-dipped bottle from Tavour. Aroma is lemony, mold, brett, earth, dusty basements, floral. Pours clear golden with a thick white head with decent retention. Taste is moderately to highly sour (8/10) with lemony lacto bretty flavors. Hints of whiskey barrel influence, honey and mint are there if you look for them, but I wouldn't guess they were in there if it weren't for the description mentioning them. Highly carbonated foamy mouthfeel. Interesting.

750 ml beeswax-dipped bottle. Aroma is pickles and dill, to the max, as described; also, lemon peel, funk. Pours hazy golden with a one+finger white head that falls into a ring and skiff pretty quickly. Taste is extremely sour (10/10) and acidic (possibly the most sour beer I've ever had) with dill pickle and lemony acidic flavors; finishes with a dry pithy character. Extremely sour to a fault. Not sure if I can finish the whole bottle myself, but it's definitely an interesting experiment.

Pours a beautiful golden color, medium funk and dry notes on the nose, honey and corn upfront, oak on the back. Lighter than expected in everyway. Gets better as it warms up though. Really gotta have it at like 60F for an extra dry flavorful one.

Tart lemony and tons of honey notes. Slight hint of whiskey sweetness on the nose along a hint of funk. Delish and crisp.
