Sample at the CCBW Six One Pour festival on 05/09/2015. Clear golden color with a medium thin white head that dissipates steadily to an outer ring. Stringy lacing. Aroma of fruit, yeast and malt. Light-bodied with flavors of grapefruit, floral yeast, mild hops and malt. The finish is fruity with an herbal yeast aftertaste. Above average overall.

Lots of sediment in this black beer. Bottle. Does smell chocolaty but is almost a cloying olfactory. Big mouthful of dark choco with hints of cinny. Some co2 but its roasted alky laced bitter choco thang is in yer face. Does not hide alky well and well, for a sweet stout that’s pretty 6% funny. I was putting this off tasting it and now I’ve confirmed why. Look, I like mild friendly milk stout but this is a little too much. Difficult at times.

Bottle shared at Leightons place. Thanks to the Black IPA king. Clear caramel brown coloured pour with a halo of grayish head. Aroma is sweet caramel, malts, toffee, meaty, light pine hop. Flavour is composed of nutty, caramel Base grains, sticky pine hop, little hint of warming alcohol, sticky hop resin. Palate is medium full, sticky, highish carbonation. Firm pine bitterness, Semi dry finish. Semi sweet. Bit wishy washy.

Bottle shared in London - many thanks to Colin. Pours clear brown-amber with a frothy, light beige head. The nose has some lightly toasted brown bread, pine, orange, berries. Medium sweet flavor with nice toasty-roasty malt character, a bit of burnt pine, oily hops, ripe citrus. Medium bodied with fine to average carbonation. Lightly resinous to finish with subtle char, pine, orange rind. Solid.
