Bottle: Poured a deep purple color ale with a nice dark foamy head with OK retention and light lacing. Aroma of huge blackberry notes with some tart notes also noticeable. Taste is also a mix of loads of blackberry notes with some tart notes, light acidic notes with a somewhat dry finish. Body is full with limited filtration and good carbonation. The level of complexity and drinkability is quite incredible in this beer.

On tap at the Alibi Room, pours a hazy golden yellow with a small white head. Aroma brings out saison yeast upfront, with light fruity esters and some sweet cereal notes. Flavour is a bit different, bringing out a nice mix of lacto and saison yeast, with mild tartness that is very fitting and a dry cereal malt finish. Nicely constructed, with a dry, tart finish. Good stuff.

A burgundy red ale with a thin rosey white head. In aroma, beautiful herbaceous malt, with Epsom salts, light Brett, light lactic notes, raspberry jam, light acidity, very nice. In mouth, a nice sweet fruity malt with loads of dark fruits, raspberry jam, light acidity, light Epsom salts, very nice and complex. Bottle from Boutip, at GRMs tasting.

Opaque mahogany color with compact head. Mild caramel and biscuits character, a bit nutty, with light yeast esters.
I’m not sure I would classify this as ESB, bit it’s a good Amber Ale, and there is almost no evidence of spruce.

On tap at St. Augustine's, pours a deep dark orange amber with a medium beige head. Aroma brings out fairly restrained spruce tips, along with caramel malt and light English hops. Flavour is a little more pronounced on the spruce, but it melds nicely with the caramel malt and fairly potent English hopping. Big chewy body. Works well together. Not usually a fan of spruce tip beers, but this is well-done.
