Draught at Alibi Room, Vancouver
Cloudy brown color, small head. The smoke, or peat, is delicate in the aroma and more evident in the flavor, also because the oak adds up to the mellow feeling; it has some light residual sweetness; the yeast is a bit too present.
Nice beer for a lover of sweetish smoked flavors.

Draught at St. Augustine’s, Vancouver
Hazy blond color, compact head. Tropical aroma, a lot of guava more than lemon. Dry but smooth mouthfeel, a bit wheaty, maybe a bit yeasty, with plenty of tropical fruit in the final; the acidity is very moderate, it could actually take a bit more, and less wheat bread.
Refreshing, excellent.

Bottle thanks to Russell. Pours a hazy gold with small white head that lasts. The aroma is peach, stone fruit, funk, oak. Thin mouth, tart peach, funky, wood, light dry finish, very good.

On tap at St. Augustine's, pours a clear golden with a small white head. Aroma brings out lots of dank citra hop notes along with some lightly funky souring bacteria. Flavour is complex, with notes of various wild yeasts and lovely citra dry hopping in wonderful harmony. Not usually a fan of kettle sours, but this one is done beautifully. Excellent.

On tap at the Alibi Room, pours black with a small tan / brown head. Nose is quite complex, with earthy yeast, some funky brett, leather and a touch of tartness. Flavour follows accordingly, with notes of tart red wine notes, leather, funky brett and a little earth. Wonderful harmony between all the elements. I don't usually like these dark saison / farmhouse ales, but this works wonderfully. Tart, leathery and funky in all the right proportions. Excellent.

On tap at the Alibi Room, pours an opaque dark murky orange with a small off-white head. Aroma brings out lots of peat and smoke upfront, with a touch of oaky wood. Flavour is super peaty, ashy and woody, with a very dry body. The peat sure is aggressive. Decent for what it is, but there's not a whole lot of complexity. Okay.
