750 shared by Irishboy - thanks for this and so many others! Pours dirty dark brown with no head. Aroma is prune backed by brown sugar. Med body. Flavor is dark fruit, brown sugar, bourbon, oak, and it’snot at all sticky sweet. Arguably a bit oxidized. Or not. Develops pluminess in the finish.

A bottle from my cellar that I took to the RBWG 2013 Grand Tasting. Clear brown body under a tan head. Sweet malty aroma. The flavor follows the aroma pretty much.

Bottle unearthed by brewandbbq, thank you for the opportunity Jeff! Pours a lightly hazy medium golden color with a smallish white head that dissipates quickly. Aroma of sweet bready malt, lightly spicy with a sugary sweet syrupy aroma going on. The flavor is like the aroma. Sweet and spicy with hints of orange and tangerine and a sugary caramel flavor. Medium body with a bubbly spirited level of carbonation, and a sweet mouthfeel. Nice older brew that I’m glad I got the opportunity to try, thanks again Jeff.

2005 bottle. Cloudy red - brown beer. Small frothy cream - tan head. Some oxidised malt on the nose. Softish palate, slightly dry. Creamy malt, smooth. Not unpleasant sherry like oxidisation. Milk chocolate. Soft vanilla. Prune fruits in the undertone. Semi soft finish. Clearly an aged beer, but a very good one!

Bottle at the Funky 8, Brooklyn, NYC. Very good beer, which has aged gracefully. Time shows most prominently in the malts. There’s losts of sweet brown sugar, some dark and faintly tangy fruits. Some dark bread. Full bodied with fine carbonation. Very modest warmth to fin with lots of attenuated sugars, toasty brown sugar, caramel. Good stuff.
