Bottle picked up from Appel Getrankemarkt, Moosburg and consumed at home Sunday 24th January 2021 whilst listening to a German Playlist on Tidal called Hamburger Schule, we’re cooking Cheese Spaetzle and Onion Bake. Pours amber it’s a hazy amber with a white head atop, pleasant soft mouthfeel, toffee and caramel dominate but followed by a bitterness, a little banana toffee. Fine but not that remarkable.

Light brown amber, caramel and sweet bread nose. A bit too candy sweet, light astringency, hops are not enough to balance the palate.

Hazy amber. Aroma is oxidized with maroni and dark honey. Taste is sweet and dense. Not too intense. Quite nice. Why not?

500ml Bottle picked up from Fleischman Getränkemarkt, Freising and consumed at home Attenkirchen, Wednesday 15th May whilst cooking various curry sauces from the Curry Guy book and listening to Steve Lamaq on 6 Music. Dark brown, light chestnut colour with a large frothy tan head. Caramel, malt and a nuttiness are the key aromas here. A simple but nonetheless pleasant dunkel with the key aromas showing in the flavour department. Soft carbonation, malty with a lengthy sweetness.

Bottle picked up from Getränke Fleischman, Freising and consumed at home Attenkirchen, Saturday 11th May 2019 listening to the Craig Charles 'Funk & Soul Show' on 6 Music, with a Spaghetti Bolognese for tea tonight. Quite a difference following the Spanish IPA I've just had. Hazy gold in appearance, the aroma sings Helles to me (*And make no mistake I am still really something of a novice when it comes to these German styles) A little vanilla runs through this and whilst I really like it, it is a real gulper if it does lack its that it does need a little crispiness.
