Herber Hopfenantrunk, markant. 10/10/10/10//10

Hazy blond. Thick head. Big bready pale malt aroma promises a full-bodied beer. Brash malty character, full malts, some yeasty rusticity, light spicy fruits. The finish is dry and spicy. Yum. One of the top bocks of the season.

Swing top 500ml (BB 09/2010)
Courtesy of Edo (me thinks). Slightly hazy amber color, small white head. Grainy malty aroma with hints of apples. Light to medium bodied. Slightly caramelly maltyness, grains, cardboard, some odd fruity notes. Lingering bitterness in the aftertaste. A bit off with off-flavors (sic!) so when drinked fresh probably a nice beer. Now kind of weird.

Hazy amber. Fairly spicy aroma with a hint of toast. Caramel-accented with toast and some dry, slightly herbal hops. One of the maltier examples, almost a Vienna.

Bottled. A golden beer with sediment floating around under an off-white head. The aroma is sweet malty with notes of caramel and bread. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt and bread as well as light notes of citrus and a light acidic edge, leading to a dry cardboard finish. Thanks yespr for sharing.

Bottle, shared by Maria. Pours an almost clear, golden body under an off-white head. Some yeast-chunks floating around. Honeyish and grainy aroma. The flavor is sweet, grainy and malty with a decent hoppy bitterness. Piney and bitter hops in the finish. Dryish in the mouth despite the sweetness. A decent beer, nothing more, nothing less. Rating: 5-3-5-3-11-2.7. (080823)

Bottle, from trade with Maria. A hazy golden beer with floaties and a small, diminishing white head. Grass and some caramel in the aroma, quite weak. Quite piney and resiny flavor with malty sweetness and caramel. Decent bitterness and a medium full body. A bit weak in the finish, resiny, but low on bitterness. Quenching and refreshing but not impressing. (080829)
