75cl bottle from Super U, Hazebrouck. Pours a misty gold, moderate effervescence. Nice Doux overall.. rosey apple fruit with a ripened deep sweetness, softly caramelised, bookended by crisp skins presenting a nice bitterness.

Laut Etikett 5 % Alk. Sektflasche mit Naturkorken verschlossen. Klar, schön, voll golden im Glas. Fruchtiger Sekt in der Nase. Geschmacklich trifft süßer Apfelsaft auf säuerliche Sektnoten - leichter Überhang Richtung süß. Dafür das „Brut“ auf der Flasche steht könnte also d ie Vergärung etwas „brutaler“ sein, sprich etwas weniger Restsüße und deutlich trockener. Im Nachgeschmack findet sich ein Anklang von Gerbsäure - allerdings sehr, sehr mild. Körper knapp über Medium. Schon recht schmackhaft, dürfte für mich aber ruhig noch etwas frisch/säuerlicher sein. Mit 5 Euro für 0,75-Liter der teuerste Cidre den es in meinem lokalen Supermarkt gibt.

Bottle, from Trader Joe's. Pours clear pale yellow with no head, faint apple-grape aroma, medium carbonation, medium sweet pear taste with faint acidity, longish finish with enduring pear taste. Nice drink.

750mL bottle, pours a clear copper with a large, quickly-dissipating white head. Aroma is wonderfully funky and musty in classic French fashion, champagne must, barnyard funk, and lightly sweet apple. Flavour is typically French, evoking moderate sweetness upfront that immediately dries out the mouth, with champagne must, and barnyard funk. Bone dry finish, with a funky, musty, gently sweet finish. Great stuff.

0.75 l bottle from local 'Getränke Hoffmann'. Clear, golden amber with a thin, fluffy, quickly diminishing, white head. Sweetish, a little sourish, gently fruity aroma of green apple, some pear and a touch of wood. Slightly sweet, quite dry, a little sourish, gently fruity taste of green apple, some pear and a touch of wood, followed by a short, slightly tart, fairly dry and a bit woody finish. Thin to medium body, minimally astringent and quite effervescent mouthfeel, lively carbonation. Easily drinkable, highly refreshing cider, just lacks a bit of depth.

750 from Trader Joe's shared at Holiday at the Hooks. Pours a clear golden copper with a finger of foam that dissipates quickly. Lovely apple aroma with some light oak and fermented apple notes. Sweeter on the palate but some dryness that comes in towards the finish. Not a bad cider, but not as funky or complex as I prefer.
