0,75cl bottle, 5,1%. Golden in the glass. Grainy-sweetish nose. The beer starts dry and malty. Lots of grain there, a bit unround. The body is malty grain, hints of sweetness, easy drinkable. The aftertaste is not too deep, not much bitterness, malty grain. A bit boring...

0,75l bottle, 5,3%. Dark brown colour. The nose is roasted caramel. The beer starts smooth, slightly roasted with a subtle caramel sweetness. Smooth and fresh, easy to drink. Slightly malty-roasted in the aftertaste with a subtle sourness. Very refreshing, nice dry ending with roasted caramel and hints of roasted malt. A nice dry and malty-roasted brew - but not a typical Schwarzbier - I miss the dry liquorice roastiness. But still great.

Smooth and very sweetish grainy beginning. Lots of grain, easy to drink without being too deep, lots of sweetish grain. The aftertaste is sweetish-light-bitter, lots of grain, hints of malt, not too deep. For me way too sweet.

500ml Bottle from Essen. Jasny, zlocisty i klarowny kolor, srednia piana, niezbyt trwala. Zapach i aromat wyrazny, pachnie swiezym sianem, zbozem. W smaku w pierwszej chwili zaskakuje lekko kwaskowata nuta, ktora potem szybko ustepuje, potem wyczuwalna trawiastosc. Dosc wyrazne sa to smaki. Na sam koniec delikatna goryczka, ktora sie zaznacza ale nie pozostawia zbyt dlugo tego posmaku w przelyku.

Catch up rating. One of he few German steam beers. Decent helles, pale golden with small white head, mostly grain aroma and taste.

Flasche von McTapps, vielen Dank Sabine :) Ins Glas ergießt sich ein klares goldgelbes Bier mit geringer Schaumkrone. Geruch leicht malzig, grasig. Geschmack leicht malzig, getreidig, muffig.

Der Geruch ist leicht muffig. Geschmacklich ist es malzig-muffig, laff im Antrunk wird es im Hauptteil etwas vollmundiger. Dabei ist es irgendwie leicht säuerlich. Der Nachgeschmack ist lang und malzig-muffig, aber angenehm. Trotzdem irgendwie komisch!
