Bottle shared @ Koelschtrinker's tasting. Smooth fresh beginning. Hints of grain, smooth sourish hints of wood over a grainy and not too deep body. Long grainy aftertaste with smooth malts and hints of sourish wood. Ok for what it wants to be.

Fläschken: Clear, copper coloured, small and persistent off-white foamy layer; bitter-sweet metallic-caramelly nose; mild dryish bitter-sweet flavour, light bodied, slightly adstringent; traces of the indicated "wood" in the short bitter-sweet metallic-caramelly finish. Even though it was poured out of a bottle, it tastes like a cheap brew from a can...

0.3l on tap at 'Zweistein'. Clear, brownish amber with a medium large, dense, almost stable, beige head. Sweetish-malty, a bit grassy-spicy aroma of caramel, toasted nuts and some straw. Moderately sweet, slightly bitter, malty and a little grassy-spicy taste of caramel, toasted nuts and some straw, followed by a short, moderately bitter, slightly grassy-spicy and quite metallic finish. Medium body, quite effervescent mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Quite okay wouldn't it be for that metallic finish.

(bottle, 33cl) Clear, golden colour with a blond and firm mid-sized foamy head. Strawy and subtle grainy pale malty aroma with doughy notes and a whiff of grassy hops in the background. Slightly sweet flavour, light to medium bodied with a tame carbonation. Strawy and slightly papery malt character with notes of sour dough and hints of onions towards the slightly sweet and restrained bitter finish. Meh. 05.II.18

Fläschken: Clear, golden with a faint ruby sheen, small and persistent white head, visible carbonation; mild strawy and honeyish nose with a grassy background; moderate sweet-bitter flavour, medium bodied, not soft; lingering drier bitter grassy and pale-malty finish. Not a real Maerzen, more a mediocre Imperial Pils...
