Description

Draught, 5.5% at KCBD19. Sour and infected smelling. Very dark brown colour. Stable light brown head. The flavour is sour and bacterial tasting. Funky kitchen rag. It is sad to see someone trying to pass a failed brew off as something that is supposed to be sour. Intended or not, it does not taste good. 33333

Draught, 4.9% at KCBD19. Great fruity hop aroma, smells like a freshly opened packet of hops. Almost clear golden colour. Nice creamy white head. The flavour is bready at first and then turns very grassy. Late piney hop note. The middle taste is not so nice, I think.

330ml bottle. Pours unclear amber, overly large frothy white head. Aroma has a curious sherbetty sweetness, some grainy pale malt. Taste bears more of that sugary, sherbetty sweetness, fairly gassy. Not sure what it's trying to be, but it's not a pils. The fact that flavours are here that don't seem to be intentional is a bit off-putting but it's drinkable.

Bottle @ home. Hazy orange color, bubbly (Dutch) "beetje schraal", white head. Smell and taste malts, a bit grainy bitter, a weird sort of fruity hint of which I have no idea where that comes from. Average body, quite low carbonation. Don't like it.

330 ml bottle. Pours with a nearly black color and a tan head. Nose of roasted malts, burned coffee and something fruity, maybe green apple. Taste starts with a metallic touch, maybe sour, some coffee, some acidic notes. Don#t like this combination much.

Bottle from Local Swap. Rather hoppy piece, med-high bitterness and only background malt presence, which makes it slightly out of balance. The hops seem to be grassy, vegetal and there is also light autolysis producing unwelcome vomit aromas. Also very lightly acidic. Not the cleanest of lagers.
