Bottle picked up from Sulzberger Bierhaus, Pffahenhofen an der Ilm and consumed at Camping Lam, Saturday 7th September 2024 after a hike to Arrach. Pours hazy chestnut colour with a fast disappearing off white head. Forgot to mention we're listening to Fat Dog - Woof and cooking Tomatoes, Feta, Olives, and Gnocchi. Back to the beer, it's refreshing a little nutty with a touch of caramel. Decent Dunkel.

Clear blond colour, white foam. Light sweet, malty, some honey notes, bready and light hoppiness.

Tap at Fränkisches Bierfest. Deep chestnut, mostly clear. Bread n cold butter, roasted. Earthy, clean. Slow and soft.

Tap at Fränkisches Bierfest. Golden, mostly clear. Apple damp, melon. Some crisp, crunchy, but sticky sweet aftertaste.

From bottle. Grain, hay, relatively intense zesty grassy hops. Dry zesty bitterness, light grainy sweetness. Medium bodied, oily texture, soft carbonated, dry zesty grainy finish. Very nice Helles!

Kanone Dunkel, Flasche von den unbesiegbaren Getränkerittern. - Dunkles Kastanienrot, klar; schöner Schaum. - In der Nase recht kerniges dunkles und Röstmalz, ein wenig Torf und milde aber gute hopfenwürzige Herbe mit leisen mediterranen Zügen. - Antrunk tief dunkelmalzig mit nicht zu knappem Röstmalz, dezenter Kirsche, fein abgeschmeckter Säure und solider herbal-hopfenwürziger Herbe. Erfreulich wenig süß trotz feiner Karamelnote. Milder rezent, vollmundig. Im Abgang fein malzbitter und gar nicht so knapp hopfenherb. - Sehr solides, sauber gerstig-röstmalziges Dunkles, mild aber doch besser gehopft als viele Vertreter dieser - zu oft etwas langweilig wirkenden - Sorte. Mein bestes Kanonen-Bier bislang. (26.10.2023.)

Kanone 12,5er, jetzt mit nur noch 5 %, Flasche von den Getränkerittern. - Goldgelb, blank. - In der Nase etwas dickeres, zart brotig-süßes helles Malz und nur dezente Hintergrundhopfung. - Antrunk sauber gerstig-hellmalzig mit zarter Honignote, leicht zuckriger Malzsüße und gar nicht so schwacher aber ausdrucksloser, plump krautiger Hopfung. Milder rezent, vollmundig. Im Abgang etwas Zitrusfrucht und krautige Hopfenbittere. - Schmeckt total Kanone! heißt es auf dem Rücketikett. Ist aber bloß ein banal gehopftes Export. (21.10.2023.)
