Bottle @ Bamberg outskirts. Perhaps Pegnitz. Not sure. Pours dark amber with a small white head. Roasted and dry. Earthy. Quite some grains and paperbag. Caramel and rye-bread.

A clear dark amber beer with a beige head. Aroma of caramelized malt, nuts, spices, leaves. Taste of strong caramelized malt, spicy hops, bread, leaves. Moderate bitterness.

Bottle picked up from Sulzberger Bierhaus, Pffahenhofen an der Ilm and consumed at Camping Lam, Saturday 7th September 2024 after a hike to Arrach. Pours hazy chestnut colour with a fast disappearing off white head. Forgot to mention we're listening to Fat Dog - Woof and cooking Tomatoes, Feta, Olives, and Gnocchi. Back to the beer, it's refreshing a little nutty with a touch of caramel. Decent Dunkel.
