Description
In the years 1891 and 1892, the Gütermann family built a brewery in Saalfeld that was modern from the perspective of the time. During the last days of the war the brewery was completely destroyed. But the brewery was quickly rebuild; from 1948 to 1991 the brewery was state-owned. At the time of the reunification of Germany in 1989, the brewery was in a technically completely outdated condition. In 1991 the brewery became a private company. After large investments the Bürgerliche Brauhaus Saalfeld became a modern brewery. A share of 23% is owned by Kulmbacher Brauerei AG.

Bottle looks really good. Beer in the glass zippy, nice head. Starts modest dry, hoppy-fresh. Modest fruity like lemon. Finish well balanced, quite drinkable. Not bad!
