Ich kann kaum glauben, dass ich das "Saalfelder Pilsner" noch nicht bewertet habe ... jetzt also endlich: vom Faß im Hotel Am Schwarm in Saalfeld, 16.7.2025. - Goldgelb, klar. - In der Nase wie im Antrunk feine zitronige Hopfenherbe über schlankem doch saftigem hellen Malz mit ganz leiser Restsüße. Milder rezent, kremig schlank. Im Abgang leicht trocken und nicht zu kräftig aber solide zitronenschalig hopfenherb. - Solides, rundes und ausgereiftes Pilsener, kein Industriebier, mit Sorgfalt gebraut. Man schmeckt schon die Nähe zum fränkischen Bierparadies ...

Bottle from a local supermarket. Looks good. Beer in the glass deep golden, nice head. Fresh hoppy aroma. Starts mild, malty, more and more fresh hoppy, light fruity notes, not too intense. Mild sweetish background. Shy bitterness. Finish well balanced. Quite drinkable. Nice!

Clear pale golden with a foamy head. Very grassy and grainy, strawy, slightly metallic, hoppy, citrusy. Hoppy metallic bitterness, grainy sweetness. Light bodied, oily watery texture, lively carbonated, dry hoppy grainy grassy finish. A very decent Pilsner!

Bottle, gift. Aroma is grainy malt with grassy noble hop. Some straw and a herbal hoppy touch. Flavour is moderate bitter, fairly low on sweetness, finishes dry. Medium body. A very fine Pilsener.

0,5 l swing top bottle from kappldav123. Thanks a lot! Clear yellow golden in the glass, one finger white head. Citrus grassy aroma. Taste has caramel, some malt, citrus, pale bread. Low bitterhop in the background. Above average carbonated. Typical easy drinker.

Big thank you to kappldav123 for this 0,5 l swing top bottle. BB 15.02.25. Clear dark copper in the glass, small one finger white head. Looks good. Malt and some toasted nuts on the nose. Taste is smooth grainy with some sweetness and caramel in the second row. Grain and nuts in the aftertaste, soft bitterness. Mid carbonated. Not bad.
