Saalfelder Doppelbock, Fläschchen von Nahkauf, Mellingen. - Dunkles Kupferrotbraun, klar. - In der Nase dunkles Malz, Bitterschokolade und dunkle Frucht, leicht weinig, frisch krautiger Hopfen, etwas Gemüse, Fenchel, Parfüm. - Antrunk satt und schwer dunkelmalzig mit schweren Melanoidinen, dunkler Schokolade, Anklängen an überreife Banane. Etwas grell. Frische krautige Herbe geht in kräftige Bittere über, die zuletzt deutlich holzig ausklingt. Milder rezent, breit; mühsam gebändigter Alkohol. - Schwerer dunkler Bock, der nicht ganz ausgereift wirkt, dafür aber lebhaft und präsent. RAB: 2,8. (3.1.2020.) Nach dreimonatiger Lagerung runder, aber immer noch kernig und präsent. Verdient eine Aufwertung. (15.4.2020.)

Saalfelder Jubiläumsbier 100 Jahre Weimarer Verfassung, Flasche von Getränke Hoffmann, Teltow. Laut Brauerei-Website kein neues Bier, sondern ein Sonderetikett zum Jubiläum. - Satt goldgelb, blank. - In der Nase kerniges helles Malz, gut abgelagert und tief, Karamelsüße, milde hopfenwürzige Herbe. - Antrunk kernig und etwas streng hellmalzig mit zarter karamelliger Note. Kräftig krautige Hopfenherbe, leichte säuerliche Züge, kaum süß. Durchschnittlich rezent. Im Abgang recht schroffe Hopfenherbe. Schwach metallisch-säuerlicher Nachtrunk. - Solides aber exzentrisches Festbier mit deutlichen Altersnoten. (22.10.2019.)

Swing top bottle from MoritzF. Golden color. Malty sweet, buttery flavor. Touch of alcohol. Indifferent aroma. Friendly bock, sweet, but otherwise not abundant with aromas and flavors.

Banana aroma. Flavor has banana at first, followed by a mellow herbal character. Hint of caramel. Grapefruit aftertaste. Correct hefeweizen that is not overwhelmed by flavor and character.

Bottle. Dark brown color. Roast malt and pear drups in the aroma. Full bodied. Malty roasty caramelly flavor with milk chocolate and alcoholic notes. Likeable doppelbock.

Bottle from Kappldav123, thanks! Dark brown color. Milk chocolate and cacao in the aroma and flavor. Sweet with hints of roast and caramel. Malty. Not bad, just a bit sticky mouthfeel.

Bottle. Pours clear pale straw with airy white head. Clear aroma of malt and yeast, with mild touches of hops. Sweetish flavour of the same ingredients, with bitter notes of hops. Estery and malty aftertaste with bitter notes. Well-balanced and drinkable but nothing special. Tastes of more alcohol than the ABV stated on the label.
