Clear bright amber - brown beer. Very small bubbly pale cream coloured head. Fair bit of blue cheese on the nose! Plus tangy dried fruits. Palate is smooth with mild crispy carbonation. Tangy generic fruits and dried fruits. Touch of oxidised malt. Smooth finish. A bit dull and cheesy but interesting!

Odense drinking Belgian Beer in February. BB 2009. Dark chestnut colour with a small tan head. Aroma of caramel, brown sugar, alcohol (almost bourbon or rhum like) , and dried fruit. Sweet dried fruit and caramel flavour with obvious oxidized notes

Bottle @ Odense Tasting Feb. 2014. Pours dark brown with a ruby hew and a small creamy head. Fruit, charcoal, roast, berries, coffee. Medium bodied. Warm and alcohol finish.

Old bottle thanks to Joes @ home. Opaque pitch black color, small beige head. Smell malts, overripe fruits and raisins. Taste malts, sweetness, overripe fruits, lightly alcohol and raisins. A bit evolved into a barley wine almost. Still very drinkable though even after all those years (best before March 2009!). Medium body and carbonation. Nice.

Draught @ GEIB, Grande Esposizione Italiane della Birra 2012, Nuova Fiera di Roma, via Portuense 1645, Rome, Italy 00100.Unclear medium amber colour with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, oxidide malt, victorian furniture, old malt. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet and light bitter with a average to long duration, sweet caramel, fruity, sugary, caramel, oxidide notes. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.
