Bottle, kindly delivered by Frankenland! A bit hazy, chestnut-amber coloured with creamy beige head. Caramelly and hoppy, but also metallic nose. Moderate sweetish-bitter flavour, light bodied to thin. Traces of caramel in the metallic-bitter finish. Not really convincing, not typical for the style........

Bottle. Hazy, dark amber colour with a big and beige foamy head. Sweet and yeasty, toast-malty aroma with subtle fruity [prunes, raisins] notes, accompanied by caramel, vanilla and a whiff of licorice. Sweet and slightly bitter flavour, medium to full bodied with a soft carbonation. Solid toast-malty base with caramel and licorice towards the finish. Sweet malt-accented, slightly toasted finish with a balancing hoppy bitterness. Quaffable Bock [09.XII.08].

Bottle. Hazy, chestnut-brown colour with a beige medium-sized foamy head. Moderately sweet, toffee-ish and toast-malty aroma with lighter notes of vanilla and shy herbal hops. Light-sweet flavour, slim bodied, but not watery mouthfeel with a well-matured carbonation. Toasty malt-accented taste with caramel. Herbal notes show up towards the moderately dry and not consequently lasting finish. Nice enough [09.XII.08].

Bottle, with many thanks to Karlheinz alias Frankenland for the Dremel collection. Hazy, pale golden colour with a massive and slowly lacing foamy white head. Slightly sweet and yeasty, distinctively grainy malty aroma with present herbal hops in the background. Light-bitter flavour, light bodied with a rather fizzy carbonation. Well-rounded grainy malty and slightly yeasty taste with herbal elements, especially towards the dry and slightly bitter finish. Balanced and easy-going brew, not the archetypical Kellerbier, but indeed a Zwickel [09.XII.08].
