Unlabeled bottle. Looks good in the glass, copper coloured, small head. Starts modest malty, strong, a bit alcoholic, a bit scratchy. Finish is more balanced, still strong, shows also some caramell notes. Still a bit metallically. Average bock.

Medium dark-yellow head over faintly hazy foxy-amber beer. Nice bready & leafy/earthy notes, dark malts announcing themselves. Dry, melanoidin-determined taste, faintly nutty and leafy. Sweetish finish with a hint of coffee. Soft creamy MF, well-carbonated. Long, faintly wry aftertaste. Very nice Dunkel (or rather, Bernsteinfarbiges!) Many thanks to DonS!

Bottle by Karlheinz! Pale golden, a bit unclear, bigger, quite stable beaten-egg-white-like head, visible carbonation. Dry hoppy-aromatic nose with some malty undertones. Moderate bitter sweet flavour, light bodied, a bit fizzy. Lingering dryish hoppy-woody finish. Good franconian quality......

Bottle, kindly delivered by Frankenland! A bit hazy, chestnut-amber coloured with creamy beige head. Caramelly and hoppy, but also metallic nose. Moderate sweetish-bitter flavour, light bodied to thin. Traces of caramel in the metallic-bitter finish. Not really convincing, not typical for the style........
