33cl Bottle from Hoop. Hazy pale golden yellow colour, white head. Aroma is light floral, hint of honey, light malty. Flavour is light to medium sweet, malty, dry, floral, some honey, decent underlying light hoppy bitterness. Light bodied. Not very outspoken, but not bad and certainly more refreshing than expected.

Bottle shared at home. Almost clear amber with white head. Sweet malts, hint of unfermented wort, canned peach, fresh dough, grassiness, wet hops, resin, fudge, some floral notes, light onion. Moderate sweet and bitter. Under medium body, soft carbonation. Light chalky feel. Bit unexpected aroma palate but it’s quite alright.

33cl Bottle from Vonk. Not really a Hoop beer, not even mentioned on the label, added it as such b/c it’s brewed there. Hazy amber colour, off-white head. Aroma of spicy yeast, hint of caramel, CO2. Flavour is very weak, almost absent, light spicy, hint of malts, bit of caramel, water, light metallic. Light bodied, fizzy and over-carbonated. No trace of the promised rum and vanilla.

Bottle at home, 25th February 17. Pours light and clear. Aroma is slight, pils, some hips, a little citrus. Taste is a hoppy lager type IPA, clean, not overly hopped, light pine. It’s drinkable, not outstanding.

Slightly hazy medium amber colour, small frothy off-white head, dminishing mosly, fair lacing. Aroma toasted malts, grain, candy sugar, caramel. Taste medium sweet and slightly bitter, toasted malts, burnt caramel, spicy notes, cardboard. Sweetbitter aftertaste, lingering burnt caramel, bit warming alcohol, medium body, oily texture, soft carbonation. Quite one-dimensional, so so.

33 cl bottle @ home. Pale yellow color, slightly hazy. Big frothy white head with good retention. Aroma’s: light sweet, grain, fruit. Retronasal it’s a little plastic, fruity, grainish. Flavor is as good as neutral, light maltiness and faint bitterness. Light bodied. Finishes with light bitterness. Needs way more aroma and flavor.
