300ml bottle from Wakaba, San Francisco Airport. Cloudy white colour, no head and aroma of yuzu, lemony citrus. Taste is sweet, lemony, yuzu, rice, with some tangy citric acidity. Medium bodied, low carbonation, dry yuzu citric finish. Quite drinkable.

Small bottle @ monthly tasting, Chez Sophie, Sep 18. Brought by me, picked up at a small carrefour in France. My first sake rating. Pours pale, clear. Strange nose, taste is strong alcohol, almonds, soya milk, hard to describe really. Difficult to gain much pleasure from this. Rated kindly.

Bottle from HMart, Naperville. Haven't delved into sakes for some time, and my first time in this style. Pours milky-white and still. Slightly sweet white wine nose. Taste has strong alcohol up front. The coconut milk description is very apt. Kind of a yeasty note, like an unfiltered beer. Flavor is more upfront than the delicate taste I simply remember from previous sakes. Wish the mouthfeel was a little thicker too help keep the alcohol from jumping out at me.

300ml bottle from Japan Centre. Cloudy pinkish colour, no head and aroma of strawberry, jammy, rice. Taste is sweet, fruity, strawberry, jam, milky, rice, with papery and boozy notes. Medium bodied, low carbonation, lingering strawberry & boozy finish. Quite drinkable.

18cl bottle from Sushi Shop, South Kensington. Clear very pale yellow colour, no head and aroma of rice, light melon. Taste is rice, slight melon and earthy boozey. Oily mouthfeel, medium bodied, low carbonation, dry finish. Quite drinkable.

Drank at room temperature. The consistency of the liquid is clear, colorless and transparent. The olfactory intensity is high and lasts sufficiently. The taste on the nose - dominant aroma is of malted rice Koji. The taste on the nose - secondary aromas find hints of kiwi, mimosa, vanilla, white peach and banana. The first impression of intensity in the mouth is of medium strength’s sake. The body is round. The taste intensity is normal, and the persistence is sufficient. The taste is pleasant. The final mouth sensations are easy to drink. On the palate, dried apricot, green apple and gin prevail.

The taste on the nose - secondary aromas traces mimosa, white mushrooms, vanilla and peach. The first impression of intensity in the mouth is of strong sake. The body is full. The taste intensity is normal, and the taste persistence is sufficient. The taste is pleasant. The final mouth sensations are ready to drink. The roof of the mouth recognizes impressions of lactic, white mushroom melon and hazelnut.
