Cask (Bayerische Anstich) at Akkurat, Stockholm. Clear golden, majestic rocky head. Intense aroma of wet grass. Medium bodied with soft mouthfeel. Distinctly bready malt flavour with notes of wool and butter. Getting sweeter towards a rather bitter finish. Not the clean crisp brew I’d expect a german pilsener to be, more a soft full flavoured helles.

Bottle: Deep golden to slightly amber coloured, almost a bit hazy, huge fluffy off-white head; delicate sweet-malty, almost a bit toasted nose under a light hoppy blanket; moderate bitter-sweet flavour, quite light bodied, soft MF; quicK and short bitter-sweet finish. A nice and refreshing summer-beer......

Draught, as Günther-Bräu Dunkel. Dark brown colour. Very small head. Not very flavourful, but quite palatable. Mostly like pale lager, but with some sweet dark malts.

Pale golden, thin foamy, stable layer; distinctive sweet-malty-grainy nose with a shy grassy hoppiness; modrerate sweet-bitter flavour, light bodied; shorter sweetish and grassy finish. O.K., an average brew.....

Bottle: Slightly hazy, amber coloured, mid-sized off-white head, slowly diminishing; honeyish-caramelly nose with a faint bitter touch; soft MF, mild bitter-sweet flavour, medium bodied; honeyish-malty finish with a light but distinctive bitterness in the aftertaste. Decent, good, but no gem, though.....

Test vom 4.9.2005, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 6,7,9,6,10,7 - 7,20
