Description
The brewery Fuglsang can rightly call itself Denmark's oldest family-owned brewery. Søren Christian Fuglsang founded the brewery in 1865, and today it is some of his great-grandchildren who, with respect for the craft and the raw materials, produce solid South Jutland beer.

The family also runs its own export malt factory, which is Denmark's largest and one of the few independents in Europe - it is the one that supplies a large part of the good malt to Fuglsang's beer.

Bottle from MiP. Almost black and opague. Aroma like sweetened skimmed milk. Very sweet and sugary flavor with caramel and yoghurt. Like a Dutch oud bruin with some added sour milk. Not my kind of beer.

Bottle, from MiP. Grainy sweet aroma with cake dough. Sweet, raisinny flavor. Seems a touch smoked and roasted, but it really isn’t. It’s just alcohol and sugar. Thin to medium bodied. Unconvincing.
