Aroma is moderate malty, roasted, caramel, chocolate, herbs, spicy - anis, wood, moderate to light heavy yeasty. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration. Bottle. Frothy off-white excellent mostly lasting head. Very dark yellow colour. Light malty haevy hoppy/yeasty aroma. Heavy bitter almost harsh flavor overpowering the fruity esters. Heavy biotter nice long fuinish with strong anis-notes. Fizzy and oily palate.

Sampled @ EBF 2008. Dark brown with a dense beige head. Nice spicy aroma of ginger and other Christmas aromas mixed with fruity hop aroma. Flavor is bittersweet, malty, ginger. A bitter finsih with alcohol. Quite nice and promising, but a bit out of balance for my taste.

Cloudy yellow with a lasting white head. Aroma of citrus and herbs. Refreshing dry flavour dominated by citrus hops.

(On tap) Very cloudy golden with a small and creamy off-white head leaving laces - looks pretty much like a Belgian wit. Fresh and very citrusy nose. Medium body, very fruity and very citrusy accents. The finish is dry and spicy - almost herbal. 120908

(On tap) Very cloudy and somewhat muddy dark brown with basically no head. Very spicy and almost peppery aroma with what appears to be American aroma hops. Quite full-bodied, some roasted malt and plenty of spices and overripe fruit. Lovely - I really hope the brewery would put this experimental brew into production. 120908

On tap at EBF 08. Very intense spice on aroma. Malty christmas cake. Huge f*** off spice. It’s got some warming good English Ponterfract cake liquorice. Nice.

Bottle at EBF Copenhagen 2008 ... Hazy amber ... light sweet lavender nose... OH MY its definitly lavender ... light hop ... slightly sweet ... little orange peel ... smooth easy drinking.
