Århus2008. From tap. Pours dark brown with a lacing tan head. Aroma is fruity and malt. Light breadish note is the initial mixed aroma and flavour impression. Metallic and jam flavours following. Medium dry malt flavoured into the finish.

Århus2008. From tap, came as Stevns kaffeøl testbryg D041B. Pours dark and hazy brown with a huge chocolate brown head. Aroma is light acidic coffee with a solid roasted note. Dry malty and coffee-ish with a light stinging nettle note, classic coffee beer bitterness. Dry malty and coffee flavour. Light spiced finish.

Sample at Aarhus beerfestival. Nice head with excellent duration. Color is black. Aroma and taste are vanilla, coffee and malt. Good long sweet coffee finish.

Tap @ Aarhus beerfestival 2008. Brown color, short head. Aroma of freshly grinded coffee. Taste of coffee that stood too long on the table though. So coffee, but cold, and not in a nice way like a decent porter or stout.

Bottle @ Aarhus beerfestival 2008. Dark color. Aroma of laurel and licorice. Taste of licorice, wheat, sweet. Sparkling. Bit dry, unbalanced.

Bottle. Nice head with ok duration. Color is amber. Aroma and taste are extremely perfumed with lavender. Har to focus on anything else.

Draught at Aarhus festival. Creamy lightbrown good mostly lasting head. Amber colour. Light malty slightly caramellic aroma and flavor. Short finish. Brewer informed me taht the beer have bin heatdamaged during transport.

Draught at Aarhus festival. Creamy off-white excellent mostly lasting head. Black colour. Moderate alty and hoppy nice aroma. Moderate bitter flavor. Not as strong coffee note (thank god), and surprisingly fruity. Average finsih. Creamy palate. Very nice special brew.

Bottle. The beer was gushing out ot the bottle when the cap was popped, giving me expectations of infection, and it turned out I wasn’t to be disappointed. Well, that depends on how you look at it. It smelt mostly terrible, with solvent dominating, but there’s also a quite pronounced aroma of heavily over-ripe strawberries, and a faint note of fresh strawberries. I live next to a strawberry field, believe me when I say I know those aromas. The solvent and rottening strawberries made most of the flavor too, and there were also a sourish note. Thin body and lots of carbonation. And down the drain it went... Actually, a total score of 1 is too high. (080411)
