On tap. Pours a very dark brown - close to black - with a vague tint of red and a deliciously creamy and very fine and lacing beige head - almost nitro-like. Aroma has hard roasted malt and a lightly sweet spicy touch. Quite full-bodied, hard roasted malt accents, a little licorice - English licorice rather than anise - and an underlying sweetness. However the finish manages to be rather bitter from the complex hop mixture. Another well made beer from Vejle. 271109

Bottle, 4.6% at EsBF09. Mild citric aroma. Hazy orange colour. Very small white head. The flavour is mildly grassy, but also a bit rough. A mediocre beer.

From tap at Restaurant Remouladen. Pours dark brown with a deep reddish/amber glare and a small tan head. Aroma is fruity and caramelish, light roasted and somewhat fruity hoppy. Bitter flavoured and dark roasted malt nicely balanced to a light lingering fruity flavour. Nice mix of sweet fruity notes, dark malts and uplifting hops. Smooth with a light spiced and roasted chocolate finish.
