Sampled bottle, RBNAG 2007 in Grimstad. ABV was 6.2%. Golden colour. Fruity / citric / sourish aroma. Surprisingly light bodied and refreshing, slightly fruity, wheaty and easy drinking. The ABV is well hidden.

On tap at the brewpub. Clear, golden beer with a small, off-white head. Hoppy, floral aroma with orange and some pine-cone notes, as well as some maltyness. Quite bitter in the mouth, with a good pineyness that lasts all the way, some sweetness and citrus. A touch of malt too. Medium to full body, quite smooth. Long finish. Relaxing beer, obviously inspired by the IPA’s of the States, but it could use a fuller body. On the other hand, it’s only 5% ABV. (070926)

On tap at the brewpub. Clear, nice, reddish/dark golden body, with a beige head. Sweetness and some caramel in the aroma, quite fruity and with some alcohol, but it could use a bit more punch. Sweet and malty flavor, with some caramel and fruityness. Full body, warming. Quite bitter finish with some alcohol and fruityness. A decent bock, quite pleasing and relaxing. (070926)

On tap at the brewpub. Dark, golden-orange body, hazy, with a small, beige to off-white head. It had a sweet, caramel nose with coriander and some wheat, but the aroma should be more pronounced. Sweetness and caramel in the flavor as well, with hints of banana, and a weak note of rubber in this wheat beer as well. Same as in Hvede Trine. Medium body. Hoppy bitterness in the finish, and some caramel too. Quite nice, luckily the rubber is not as evident as in Trine, but it shouldn’t be there. Rating: 5-4-6-3-12-3.0. (070926)

On tap at the brewpub. Orange-brown, hazy beer wtih a beige head of medium size. Nice lacings. Caramel-sweet on the nose, roasted bordering smoked, some wheat and a little citrus and banana. Caramel, wheat, banana, some citrus and a touch of bitterness in the mouth, medium body and low on carbonation. Finishes as it started. Quite pleasant and quaffable and this years reciepe makes a better brew than last years. (081022)

On tap at the brewpub. Hazy, orange body, with a too small off-white head. At least in the sampler glasses, it looked better when served in bigger glasses. The nose was a bit weak, with banana dominating, some cloves and wheat notes as well. The flavor had a rubber like note in the background, but also here it is mostly banana, and some spicyness. Medium body. It finished witha nice hoppy bitterness to follow the banana and spice-notes. Quite nice, but they need to get rid of that rubber taste. (070926)

On tap at the brewpub. Clear, a bit pale golden, with a small, white head. The head looked better in larger glasses. Mostly grain and hay in the aroma, but some hops as well. The flavor was quite fruity, especially in the finish, with grains and some bitterness too. Medium body. Quite easy to drink, and pleasant pilsner. Rating: 4-3-5-3-11-2.6. 070926

Bottle, thx to the brewer. This time not hand-bottled. A clear golden pours yields a finger-thick white head leaving lacings. The aroma has a nice citrusy touch, with pale malts, straw and grass. Quite dry, medium body with a good citrusy twist, and a fine bitterness. Grains and grass too. Dry, bitter finish. A quenching and refreshing one, tasting better from bottle than from tap at the brewpub. 091003
