We are an independent craft producer of cask and bottle-conditioned beers. Brewing behind the legendary & historic pub, The Talbot at Knightwick in Worcestershire.

The brewery was first opened in 1997 by the Clift family. Annie and Wiz Clift ran The Talbot at Knightwick, Worcestershire while their brother Philip ran the family farm at Lulsley Court nearby. The Clifts had been growing hops since the 19th century and a logical progression of the farm and pub businesses was to brew beer from their own hops to sell in their own pub. In August 1997 the brewery equipment was installed behind the pub and in September 1997 Chris Gooch joined as brewer.

Bottle from Tuffins, Craven Arms. Nice head with good duration. Color is golden. Aroma and taste are grass, fruits, malt and hops. Sweet finish.

Bottle from Tuffins, Craven Arms. Nice head with good duration. Color is amber. Aroma and taste are caramel, malt, fruits, hops and nuts. Sweet finish.

Cask-conditioned at the Paul Pry, Worcester 5/1/2019. Golden in colour, with a frothy, white, head. Peach and tangerine fruit, sole leafy hops, crisp, rich tea malts and a hint of spice before a moderately bitter finish. Good.

Bottle from Colin. Not much too this beer, but I needed the county tick. Its not bad, its just not anything at all. Pour is normal, dark, golden with small foamy head. Aroma? Trying to find it. The bits you do detect are wet paper/ cardboard . Taste is pretty faint caramel, malt, but seems like its been watered down. Pretty thin and weak.

Half-pint, cask ale at Swan With Two Nicks. Clear amber coloured body, filmy layer leaving crocheted lacing down the glass. Malt-fruity nose, mid-sweet, promising. Blended malt-fruity flavours of caramel, nuts, and ripe fruits. Bittersweet tail. Decent version of the style. Nice. (Worcester 07.07.2018).
