On cask at Black Bull, Coniston - Clear yellow body, thin soapy looking white head. Nose is grassy, a bit of citrus. Taste is a bit nondescript, a bit metallic, bland.

On cask at Black Bull, Coniston - Cracker this one. Deep amber body, thick lacing white head. Nose is all kinds of fruit punch with citrus, berries and tropical fruits there, Great syrupy mouthfeel helps the bittersweet taste, king lasting finish. Superb.

On cask at Black Bull Coniston - Jet black body, thin tan head. Nose is roasted grain, bit of porridge, hoppiness there too. Taste is similar, nice burnt bitter finish. Not bad.

On keg at Black Bull, Coniston - First of the night and a quencher. Good looking clear yellow body, loads of carbonation lines, and a lasting head. Nose is pretty much as expected, grassy and bit of rice, but taste wise its sweetness helps it along nicely. Not a bad ’un to start with.

On cask at Black Bull, Coniston - Clear yellow straw body, thick lacing white head. Nose is minimal hop and citrus, nothing exciting there. Taste is crisp and clean, but again very little in the way of character. Swiftly on to the next one.

On cask at Black Bull Coniston - Clear gold body with a tight foamy white head. A flowery hop nose. Not as bitter as the standard Bluebird and sweeter. Tangy finish, but got a little samey as the drink went on.
