Description
Since 1707, Fortnum & Mason has been home to extraordinary food, joy-giving things and unforgettable experiences.

Beers brewed by West Berkshire Brewery until 2018. Westerham Brewery took over production sometime during 2019. There appears to be some recipe variance where the same style was produced by both, so these should be listed separately.

On the fourth day of Christmas... Clear amber pour with a small white head. Aromas of malt, marmalade/candied orange (peel), some more citrus and caramel. Taste is quite similar. Quite nice overall, but not overly christmassy.

My son Ben was 40 this year (2024) and a London based friend sent him a Fortum & Mason Hamper for his birthday, two 440ml cans of this were in the said Hamper, Ben gave me one. I duly pre-positioned it at Auntie Sue's and drank it at her house on 23rd August 2024. It poured a bright, clean and clear golden colour with a white head. Hoppy, bitter and very drinkable.

Bottle gifted to me on NYE from Fortnum & Mason. Pours a chestnut colour with a huge foamy beige head. Light aromas of caramel and citrus tones. Taste is caramel, more light citrus notes and a touch of nuts. Light earthy hop on the finish. Thin to medium body with low carbonation . Not bad but not very Christmasy.

Sample courtesy of SHIG, cheers Shawn! Golden colour, short-lived fizzy white foam head, and aroma of apple, woody, some mucky funk hints. Taste is tangy, apple, fleshy, woody, with some funk, and both bittersharp acidity & bittersweet tannins. Medium bodied, spritzy carbonation, dry tart & tannic finish. Quite drinkable. --- Beer merged from original tick of Fortnum & Mason Organic Devon Vintage Cider 2021 on 23 Jul 2024 at 20:11 - Score: Appearance - 8 | Aroma - 7 | Flavor - 8 | Texture - 8 | Overall - 7.5. Bottle from Fortnum & Mason, London. Clear but dark amber coloured with a thin head. Traditional styled ale with a light malty-sweetness, fused with a light hoppiness. Fairly earthy in design. Beyond its sell by date by 3 1/2 years but tastes fine.
