Cask (gravity) @ Paisley Beer Festival 2011. Hazy dark golden oclour, off-white bubbles. Aroma is a bit fruity, some vegetables. Flavour is slightly caramel, vegetables, bit of hops. Dry and slight boozy finish.

i dont know what i expected from the storyline of this beer, maybe something original, if you like porters this is perfect, if your like me and indifferent, its more of the same. nothing special here.

11.2 fl. oz. bottle, as Original Flag Porter, apparently labeled for export to USA. Brewed by Darwin Brewery. ABV is 5.0%. Bought at The Cheese & Wine Shop, Darlington. Very dark ruby colour, nearly black. Large beige head. Nice aroma of moderately roasted malts and dark chocolate. Smooth and pleasant mouthfeel. The flavour has again notes of moderately roasted malts, mild coffee and dark chocolate, but the beer is not too sweet. Moderate bitterness.

500 ml bottle, from The Cheese & Wine Shop, Darlington. ABV is 8.3%. Amber colour, large to moderate off-white head. Aroma of "dusty" malts, toffee and caramel, also dark dried fruits and some vinous notes. Smooth mouthfeel. The flavour has malts, caramel and dark dried fruits, also vinous hints with oak. Moderate hops. Easy drinking for its strength. Would buy again.

Cask at GBBF whilst walking around with Ang’ Tuesday 9th August (Trade Day) 2016 Hazy amber in colour this tastes sweet, it’s flat and really dull, not really sure how this can be so lifeless and dull on day one of a beer festival but it is. A5 A3 T5 P3 Ov10 2.6 Cask at NWAF, Manchester, 21.01.11 Pours a warm gold colour some bubbles but very good clarity. Bit chewy with loads of vanilla coming through, sweet with a load of maltiness its ok but a bit hard work at times. A6 A3 T6 P3 Ov12 3.0

Cask at NWAF, 2011. Copper colour no head. Toffee, caramel, butterscotch aromas. Sweet, warming nose. Flavours of toffee, nuts and crisp red apples. Malty, sweet finish.

From notes. Deep reddish brown with a medium off white head. Aroma of cocoa and licorice. Flavor has roasted malts, chocolate and a finish of light smoke and bitterness. Nice.

Pours deep ruby-tinged mahogany into an English pint. Mocha head with good retention pancakes as it recedes. Roasted chocolate aromas. Silky with nuts, chocolate and coffee upfront. Thinning out to a dry abrupt malt finish.

Bottle. Poured dark reddish brown with medium beige head. Medium malty and nutty aroma. Flavour is medium, coffee, malt, a little chocolate and a little walnut. Coffee and malt finish, with a bit of hop.

11.2 ounce bottle. Pours a dark brown color. Watery looking with a thin, almost nonexistent head. Poor head retention and lacing. Big chocolate and coffee notes in the aroma, Some faint roastiness. Taste is coffee, roasted malts, chocolate, light smokiness and a milky, creamy note. Thin-medium bodied.
