11.2 ounce bottle. Pours a dark brown color. Watery looking with a thin, almost nonexistent head. Poor head retention and lacing. Big chocolate and coffee notes in the aroma, Some faint roastiness. Taste is coffee, roasted malts, chocolate, light smokiness and a milky, creamy note. Thin-medium bodied.

Aroma: Nothing too strong here, chocolate, brown sugar, molasses, roasted malts
*Strength increases quite a bit as it warms
Appearance: Dark brown, with slight red hue, medium brownish head dissipates pretty quickly
Flavor: Similar to the nose, these is some nose-like sweetness, and a little hop bitterness in there as well, though its pretty well hidden
Palate: Moist, thick, smooth, not too heavy
Overall Impression: This one was decent, but it could certainly use a little more character. Not bad, and as it warms the flavors release a touch, improving it slightly, and certainly an interesting story too.

Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a black color with ruby highlights and a small khaki head. The aroma was malty, bitter, molasses and vanilla. The flavor was an odd yet enjoyable mixture of bitter and roasty maltiness with a strong undercurrent of creamy vanilla and malted milk. The mouthfeel was fairly full. Odd but solid.

Bottle, Ale Cellar, Darlington. Hazy reddy orange colour with a dissipating thin beige head. Very fruity aroma, amidst which I detected notes of strawberry and nutmeg. Flavour was sweetish yeasty and full bodied. Interesting and quite enjoyable. I dig this style.

Pours dark brown, off-white, beige head. Aroma of cocoa (some bitterness), light roastiness and nutty. Taste, lightl bitterhops, roasted and torrefied, hazelnuts. Notes of spices and yeast in the aftertaste.

12oz bottle pours out a dark brown almost black with a little red. Almost no head. A nice aroma of wood roast malts and sweetness. Tast of light smoke roast malt and a touch of sweetness. A pretty good porter.

Bottled at Stockholm Beer Festival 2007. A black beer with a red-brown shine under a rim of orangey head. The aroma is sweet with primary notes of over ripe fruits. The flavor is sweet malty with notes of over ripe fruit, and towards the finish a note of alcohol grows.

Bottled at Stockholm Beer Festival 2007. A brown beer with a thin beige head. The aroma is sweet malty with primary notes of caramel, but also lighter notes of dusty hops and smoke. The flavor is sweet malty combined with light notes of roasted malt and nuts, leading to a dry bitter and slightly roasted finish.

11.2oz bottle-pours a dissipating tan head and black color. Aroma is WOW-off putting, like a drain, then cardboard medium malt-some chocolate/molasses. Taste is cardboard, medium malt-some chocolate/molasses, slight vinegar, yeast. Mild carbonation. Will have to get another bottle and try this again.
