375ml can into glass. Very pale amber beer with bubbly white head. Light carbonation. Nose of cardboard and sour grain. Spritzy in the mouth with a slight taste of cornflakes. Finish is slightly bitter with touches of sour grain and more cornflakes. Standard Aussie macro-lager.

375ml can into glass. Label says 'Beer for Western Australia'. Unfortunately not FROM Western Australia. Golden beer with foamy white head. Laces well. Medium carbonation. Nose is over-cooked vegetables served next to an open drain. Light body, some weird sweetness in there. Finish is metallic. Horrible macro nightmare that looks good in the glass.

Schooner on tap at Cottesloe Hotel. Pale amber beer with thin white head. Carbonation is low and slow. Nose is part malt, part pepper, part chemical. Laces well. Taste is malt with a slight touch of vegetables in the finish. Typical Aussie macro, good quencher.

From old tasting notes. Clear bright yellow gold color. Large foamy white head tops a lot of tiny bubbles. Metallic hop aroma. Light malt flavor in foretaste with a touch of tartness. Middle fades and becomes sour. Finish is slightly bitter and dry. Aftertaste is is long and dry. Best served really cold.

From old tasting notes. Opaque brownish black color. Thick, mousse-like brown head. Rich, hearty dark chocolate malt aroma. Complex, creamy roasted malt palate with hints of licorice and mesquite. Smooth dryish hop finish. Long tasty aftertaste that lingers forever. Sweeter than Guinness, but similar in texture. Very good.

375ml bottle into pint glass. Bought at the Bowral Hotel. Totally opaque black beer with two finger tan-coloured head. Nose has chocolate, cocoa, coffee and distant fruit notes. Full-bodied, zingy and effervescent on the tongue. Finish is bitter-sweet like really good dark chocolate. A beautiful fruitiness sits under the chocolate. 7.4% is well hidden. gets better as it warms. Another great Australian stout from a big commercial brewer. Why do they make such great stouts but give them zero promotion?

375ml bottle into glass, Erldunda roadhouse NT. Pale yellow beer with thin fluffy white head. Medium carbonation. Distant sweet malt nose. Zingy in the mouth, macro apple/vegetable taste. Finish is a mash-up of tin, more vegetables and sugar. Leaves a horrible taste in your mouth. Possibly the worst full-strength beer in Australia.
