Draft @ the Ale House, Amesbury, MA. Proper glassware. Lots of burnt malt, charred wood and almost smells like brine. The flavor has roast, chocolate, and also a bit of saltiness. Smoke, roast and burnt malts are all over this brew. This stout isn’t very balanced plus the body is thin and alcohol shows up a lot. I love stouts but this one doesn’t say “drink me again.” I always try to find something I like in a brew. That was hard to accomplish here.
