Cask at GBBF 08. Black, not overly sweet I thought. Very choccy. Little bit of sourness. It’s alright. A slightly our, hot beer, looses a bit of body on the swallow.

Big thanks to tpd975 for giving me this. Pours a hazy dull orange to copper with thin white head. Right off the aroma seemed to bust with tangelo, grapefruit and pine. By the time I sat down to take more in I got pine and spice hops along with slightly stale malts. Maybe it’s something else rather than stale. Not sure. The taste begins with a moderate level of grapefruit and tart grapefruit orange peel type hop bitterness. Initially there’s some tangelo in there too. Near midway it gets a brief pulse of malt sweetness and floral hops before pure grapefruit juice takes over and carries into the finish. Feels a bit thin at the end too. Nice hoppy brew.
