Because of our passion for good beer, we try to get a little better with every beer and push our boundaries.
Folkinge, the first part of our name, refers to the location where we started brewing: in the 'backyard' of a beer shop on the Folkingestraat in Groningen. Brew refers to the American craft beer culture, where we get our inspiration.

440ml can. Sweet, ripe tropical fruity and citrusy with loads of pineapple juice, mango, vinous notes, grapefruit, grass and floral notes. Quite sweet and heavy.

Canned, 440 ml, shared with Max, Miro B and kajser27. Hazy orange with white head. Ripe fruit, quite sweet, peach, some citrus, some alcohol in the background, medium to full bodied. Soft texture.

Medium body. OK maar niet wereldschokkend.

Pretty cloudy deep blond yellow beer, small creamy irregular off-white head, little stable, non adhesive. Aroma: lovely, tropical fruits, citrus, mango, juicy, very dank. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: good bitterness, lots of grapefruit, juicy, more tropical fruits, very bitter, slightly sweet touch. Aftertaste: lots of hops, grapefruit, citrus, tropical fruits, juicy, very nice, pretty bitter, mango, resinous hops, bit of pineapple, nice stuff!

440ml. can. @"home", 02/03/2021
[#3.798 Global - #254 Netherlands - #3 Folkingebrew]
Canned 05/02. Murky golden with a small off-white head. Poor retention, soft lacing. Aroma: lychee, passionfruit, nectarine and soft grass. Taste: unripe mango, lychee and orange zest leading to a boozy finish. Hop burn is there.
Next one please!

Can. Light haze on this gold beer, yes just a light haze but brewer says this NE. What a load of old pony this style split is. Tiny pale cream colour head. Light palate, mildly dry, good fine minerally crispness. Light malts, sweet enough although thin, but that suits this particular beer. It's clean and crisp despite the NE style subjective bollox. Just a whisper of grain. Hops bring a nice crisp pine with a generic but bright citrus. A mild savoury background is a nice contrast. Hop spice comes through on the end, just a mild nibble but it enhances this crisp and quaffable dipa. Another fairly clean dipa, had a few recently. Hope this is the end of the yeast fest craze.

Small white rim on totally hazy, light-yellow beer. Asafoetida, cheesy hops, lemon, pineapple. Bitter, leafy bitterness and again a bit cheesy hopwise. Certain oiliness both in flavour as in texture. Warming up even metallic bitterness, and appearance of sage. Sharpish, certain acidity, not fruity. Feels not really full bodied for 82%. Hopoilslickness; Bit weird. Not the best in the style.
