Description
Casa Agria Specialty Ales is a small brewery focusing on mixed fermentation farmhouse style ales and barrel aged wild ales in Ventura County, California. Like much of California, Ventura County agriculture and farming has played a vital role in the development of the communities here throughout time. The mild climate and rich soil allows for several harvests throughout the year making it one of the most valuable resources here. For these reasons the farmhouse style is a perfect style to refresh during a warm dry winter and a mild summer day alike from one harvest to the next. Further influence is found in the food ingredients and diverse cultural traditions of the people who shaped the California of today.

Golden color, slightly cloudy. Mildly tart nose with funky yeast, lime, lemon, oak and touch of citrus. Hoppy mouth, good depth. Well balanced. Drinks much lighter than 8%. Excellent.

Still very acid reflux, damn you Flanders!!!! Lots of berries, raspberry, blackberry, hints of the cranberry, but very much a Flanders style. Acidic, tannic, extra funky, oaky and woodsy.

Bottle thanks to Isaiah. Pours a hazy orange gold with small white head. The aroma is floral, oak, funk, citrus. Thin body, citrus and oak, acidic, lingering sourness, very nice.

Tasting at Brian's, bottle
Cloudy dark blond colour. The aroma is juicy, a bit funky. Moderately sweet, it supports and highlights the juicy character, oranges, some mango, some funk, lightly vinsous.
Excellent.

This has a nice bretty aroma, with some sweet pale malts, and a bit of bugginess. On the palate, clean and fresh. Sweet, biscuity, breezy pale malts, nice earthy hop note, bugs and brett. This is really nice, refined, clean.

750mL bottle, pours a cloudy orange with a small white head. Aroma brings out lots of funky critters upfront, with saison yeast, oak, and dry oats. Flavour is along the same lines, with lots of funky critters upfront, some oranges, light oak, and wild notes. Complex and funky. Wonderful stuff.

Bottle shared in London at MKBG - cheers to Jeremy. Pours hazy red with a creamy white head. Good punchy stuff, nice juicy raspberry, lots of lemony acidity. Medium bodied with massaging carbonation. Quenching finish, further tart citrus and fresh raspberry. Solid overall.
